Answer: Well Gene i have been hunting rabbit and consumeing them for many many years and i have never herd that. I have shot them in warm weather and very cold weather. I cant think of any reason why someone would say that . I mean the warm or cold weather doesnt effect the number fleas thay will have on them . Just make sure that you check the liver when cleaning befor you give any scraps to the dogs as there reward. Why would you check the liver, looking for signs of the Rabbit not being healthy. It is called Toularhemia.. it is bacterial and is a mean critter. good luck and save some for me
